The MLS has been running for nearly thirty years now and has taken serious strides in the right direction in terms of quality on the football pitch and we will start to see this reflecting the USA national team in the next 10 years or so. Due to this, the MLS has become a hot topic in American sport and therefore we’ve created a list of the best players in the MLS currently.

Already looking forward to the new MLS season to start. Why not check out these betting sites at Max which are promising some of the best odds on the market for soccer and with the European leagues already up and running again, now is the time to join.

Firstly, we start with Josef Martinez who has become a sensation in the league having scored 82 goals in 92 matches who is a scoring record that can only be matched by elite players in Europe. Martinez has everything you’d want from a striker including direct playing style, skill, speed as well as playmaking ability. If he continues on his current trajectory, he’ll go down as one of the MLS greats.

Next up is that of Carlos Vela who has decided to finish off his career in the MLS and currently playing for Los Angeles FC. He was the MVP for the league back in 2019 having scored an impressive 34 goals and recording 15 assists. When he was at Arsenal, legendary manager Arsene Wenger named him as an “uncommon talent in the way he scores goals” and he has clearly delivered on this front as he is displaying in the MLS.

Another player who is finishing his career is that of Javier Hernandez who played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Manchester United. Currently playing for Los Angeles Galaxy, the 32-year-old Mexican can score or assist from anywhere along the front three and is the perfect ‘fox in the box’ that any team would be lucky to have in their side.

And finally, we cannot create this list without mentioning the up-and-coming Diego Rossi. The left-winger joined Los Angeles FC back in 2018 and has been a revelation since joining. He is only 22 years old and has the world at his feet with his ceiling being incredibly high. He can play on either win, incredibly talented in one-on-one situations and creates space for his fellow players due to his electric pace – certainly a player to watch.
