I’m surprised that Mr Lalas has the nerve, especially as an ex-player, to try to lay off responsibility for when and how long Mr Beckham was on the pitch at his feet. Whether he begged to be or not (and competetive players ALWAYS beg to) is completely irrelevant. That decision is not the player’s job and if the Galaxy dodged it, they are even more responsible for the results. Clearly they made some serious mistakes, it happens, they should FINALLY just say so and move on in a more responsible manner. Something I thought they were doing, until I see Mr Lalas wasting more time reversing previous remarks, and disparaging his player along the way…two things that should not surprise me.
