Chivas USA players Jonathan Bornstein and Sacha Kljestan were named to head coach Bob Bradley's 20-man squad for the United States National Team's upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Guatemala, to take place this Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Commerce City, Colo.

The Columbus Crew will meet the New York Red Bulls to crown Major League Soccer's champion on Sunday, Nov. 23, but the action surrounding MLS Cup starts well before then, as in the days leading up to the game, events in and around The Home Depot Center will thrill soccer fans of all ages.

Chivas USA's 2008 season drew to a close on Saturday night as the Red-and-White drew 2-2 with Real Salt Lake in front of an electric playoff crowd of 19,265 at The Home Depot Center.

Chivas USA needed goals desperately in Saturday's second leg of their Western Conference Semifinal Series against Real Salt Lake. Trailing the total-goals series by a goal, a quick response was necessary to keep the Red-and-White's playoff hopes alive.

Chivas USA scored the goals they needed to keep their bid alive to play in the MLS Cup Final at home, but they allowed as many as they put away as Real Salt Lake tied Chivas USA 2-2 in the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinal Series.

Chivas USA lost to Real Salt Lake by 1-0 in the first leg of the teams' Western Conference Semifinal Series. Now, with RSL holding a slight advantage entering Saturday's second leg at The Home Depot Center, it might not seem quite as difficult to figure out RSL's game plan.

On Nov. 4, 2007, Chivas USA's season came to an end. The Red-and-White were held to a scoreless draw against Kansas City and crashed out of the 2007 MLS Cup Playoffs 1-0 on aggregate goals. With Chivas heading home from Real Salt Lake facing a similar deficit in Western Conference Semifinal Series this year, a comparison to last year would be simple.
